My name is Laura Short.

​

I have owned Beagles since 1992 and I have been breeding Beagles since 2002.

​

My love for the Beagle breed began in 1992 with my first Beagle named "Baby", a beautiful open marked Beagle that was a wonderful companion and a fantastic little hunter.

I have been in love with the Beagle breed ever since. 

 

My family and I breed Beagles for our love of the Beagle breed and the joy that our Beagles bring to their families!

I am passionate about the Beagle breed, genetics, and selective breeding. 

​

I have shown my Beagles in the AKC Conformation ring (dog shows), bred multiple AKC Champion titled Beagles, and I have produced some amazing Therapy Dogs, Tracking Dogs, Family Pets, & Companions. 

​

Short Acres Beagles is a small-scale hobby Beagle breeding program.

​

We breed to the AKC Beagle Breed Standard to produce Happy, Healthy, Beautiful Beagles for families to enjoy as loving Companion Dogs & Family Pets!

 

All of our Beagle Puppies for Sale are raised in our home by our family and handled from birth. They are imprinted on people and socialized to the sights and sounds of a family home environment.​​

We are located on our beautiful 10 acre property in rural Bonneau, South Carolina.

Our location is approx. one hour north of Charleston, South Carolina.​

Our AKC & UKC Champion lineage parent Beagles are very carefully selected for their Health, Temperament, and Good Looks (Conformation). They are Embark dna tested for over 190 health conditions as well as OFA health tested. 

​

Our Beagles and Beagle Puppies are under the care of a licensed Veterinarian.

Our Beagle Puppies are vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed Veterinarian.
